grieving for my pup

Well, yesterday was horrible. The pup was too ill to even have a biopsy, she had cancer everywhere and our vet just hadn't caught it when we noticed various symptoms. It was SUCH a hard decision, and I miss her. But I had to do what was best for her, and she was just so sick.

So, hubbie brought home a puppy. Spent today scrubbing down the house and puppy-proofing all the little chewy look-what-I-found things. Put our other dogs things away for now. Savings, well, none that I would count. Grace, perhaps, survival. Distraction definitely keeping up with a 8 week old. Nothing like our old pup, except in the eyes.

So, no posting on savings and ideas today. Thank you for the well wishes.

    I'm so sorry. Losing a cherished animal friend is just as hard as losing a human family member, in my opinion. My thoughts are with you.

    I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. It brought tears to my eyes to read that she is gone. They do wiggle into our lives and our hearts.

    I'm sorry about your pup. We recently had to have our dog of 17 years put to sleep and it was very difficult..

    Oh wow! I am SO sorry to hear about your puppy. Losing a pet, no matter how long you've had it, is heartwrenching, especially when you've gone to so much effort to save it. I hope you can console yourself with the knowledge that you did everything you could. Mega hugs {{{{{{{Flash}}}}}}}
